EPSE has diligently expanded its presence beyond Finland over the past few years, striving to make its operations known in various regions. In this series, we aim to provide insight into EPSE by introducing our esteemed business partners and clients. At EPSE, we take great pride in our collaborative relationships worldwide. Let’s kick off by spotlighting our valued partner: East Technic in Uzbekistan. We’ve reached out to our contact person, Azmiddin Musaev, to share some valuable insights about this partnership.
Established in 2018 in Tashkent, East Technic, formerly known as MCES, began its journey as the official distributor of the Finnish company Metso in Uzbekistan. Since then, the company has expanded its horizons, forging distribution agreements and business partnerships with leading industry players such as Valmet, King’s Beads, ABB, EPSE, Econet and many more. When it comes to the focus of Musaev’s team, it revolves around identifying the needs of customers for their goods and initiating agreements with them. Following this, they coordinate with manufacturers to place orders and ensure prompt delivery of goods to the customer’s warehouse. Today East Technic stands as one of the premier suppliers of equipment, spare and wear parts, chemicals, and other consumables for the mining-, oil- and gas industries in Uzbekistan.
Since business is not just between companies, but between people, having a partner that knows the local culture and business environment is a very important for EPSE. Musaev describes the background of EPSE and East Technic’s cooperation: “At the beginning of 2023, we met EPSE’s CEO Jouni Jääskeläinen in Tashkent and during dinner we found common ground. Everyone present had plans to cooperate with AGMK, a large Uzbek mining company, and we decided to join forces.”
When asked what opportunities Musaev sees for this cooperation with EPSE for the next 2-3 years, he replies: “I learned one good thing from Jouni, it sounds something like this: “Never say ‘I hope, maybe, I’ll try’ and so on. Always say ‘I am sure, it has to, it must work!’ And I am sure that we will have a long-term partnership and good business in Central Asia region with this mindset.”
In closing, we extend our gratitude to Azmiddin Musaev and East Technic for their highly valued partnership. With shared dedication and a forward-thinking mindset, we look ahead to a successful future together. Stay tuned for more insights from EPSE’s global network of collaborators.
