EPSE is invited to present in the upcoming 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE) at the venue of National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) between the 5th – 10th November 2021.

Chinese President Xi Jinping in May 2017 announced at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation that China will hold China International Import Expo (CIIE) starting from 2018. CIIE is the first National-level exhibition with import as the theme in the world and is the most important exhibition in China. CIIE is hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, and its partners are World Trade Organization, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and United Nations Industrial Development Organization. The hosting of CIIE was personally planned, proposed and promoted by Chinese President Xi Jinping. It is a major decision made by China to promote a new round of high-level opening-up and a major measure taken by China to open its market to the world.

Key criteria to meet for application to exhibit in the Expo:

  1. Good technology;
  2. Strong technical ability and ability to follow-up development;
  3. Products, technologies and services play a leading role in innovation in the relevant sectors, e.g. energy conservation industry, environmental protection industry, etc.
  4. Enterprises who have won industry award and other relevant qualifications.

EPSE is proud of being selected to present in the CIIE. CIIE provides an ideal platform for EPSE to present itself in China, with the world’s largest population, the second largest economy as well as the second largest importer and consumer in the world.

The 3rd CIIE had 112,000 registered purchaser companies and approx. 400,000 registered visitors, among which 2,200 registered purchaser companies have annual turnover of 1 billion USD and 1,400 registered purchaser companies have annual import business of 100 million USD, the cumulative amount of proposed deals reached 72.62 billion USD. More than 3,000 media from China and other countries/regions have reported CIIE activities. It’s estimated that 150,000 domestic and foreign professional purchasers will participate in the 4th CIIE.
