We are looking for three new members to join our team as a Laboratory Technician, Chemist and Pilot Team Member / Process Engineer. Recruitment process is done through ECAM Consulting Oy (Ltd.)

Laboratory Technician
Your main working tasks are
- metal analytics from water samples using ICP-OES
- laboratory scale treatment of industrial wastewater using the EPSE™ Method
- preparation of samples for leaching tests and analysis of tested samples
- support of sales together with the rest of the Laboratory Team.
When making the decision of filling the position, we highlight the following qualities and know-how:
- knowledge of industrial processes and experience in treatment of industrial wastewaters
- interest in mining industry
- laboratory testing methods and equipment
- readiness for travel.
Chemist
As a chemist you are responsible for development of the EPSE™ Method, maintenance of analysis equipment and developing of analysis methods. Your job is to improve and develop the unique water treatment method for treatment of acidic mining and industrial wastewaters by using your skills in analytical and inorganic chemistry.
Knowledge and skills that are the focus of the selection process:
- education: You are a chemist, or a laboratory engineer and you have studied e.g., inorganic or analytical chemistry, equipment technology and you have previously done method development and maintenance work for laboratory equipment
- needed know how and skills: working in a laboratory environment and method development for analysis equipment. Experience in project work and mining industry and industrial water treatment is seen as an advantage
- solution oriented and entrepreneurial attitude, good interpersonal skills
- capability of planning and scheduling projects
- fluent written and spoken skills in English or/and Finnish; experience in working in an international environment and other language skills are seen as an advantage
- goals set for the recruited person: improvement and development of laboratory analytics and widening the range of potential fields of application for the EPSE™ Method.
Pilot Team Member / Process Engineer
As a Pilot Team Member / Process Engineer your job description is to participate in customer on-site pilots of the EPSE™ Method. The work consists of maintenance and development work to be done in Ylöjärvi, and piloting operations in customer locations. The work requires readiness to travel.
Knowledge and skills that are the focus of the selection process:
- education: process Engineer, electrical or automation engineer, chemist, laboratory technician or some other fitting education
- mindset: to succeed in the job, taking initiative, readiness to travel and skills to work in different environments are required. Good interpersonal skills are a must
- needed experience and know-how: Experience in water treatment process management and using field analytic equipment is seen as an advantage, especially know-how of mining and/or metal industry processes and experience in maintenance of industrial processes
- you can plan and schedule projects and if necessary, work as a foreperson during piloting in the field
- fluent written and spoken skills in English or Finnish; working experience from international environment and other language skills are an advantage
- goals set for the recruited person: continuous development work of the piloting equipment and protocols.
