Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Finnish company EPSE and the Agency for Innovative Development of Uzbekistan

On May 4th 2023, Agency for Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan held negotiations with the Finnish company EPSE, a company that has practical experience in the extraction of valuable elements from industrial wastewaters. Management of Almalyk mining and smelting plant also took part in the negotiations about processing wastewater from the industrial plant.

According to the results of the negotiations, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Agency for Innovative Development and EPSE on comprehensive cooperation.

Previously, EPSE has conducted laboratory testing on wastewater from Almalyk mining and smelting plant using their patented EPSE™ Method. As results of wastewater treatment with EPSE™ Method have been positive, a pilot project was prepared to be implemented in the production processes of the plant.

As a result of cooperation, a significant reduction of damage to nature and industrial wastewater processing processes is achieved, as well as high economic efficiency.
