In March 2023, EPSE’s Jouni Jääskeläinen, Kimmo Hellsten and Anna Kivimäki travelled to China to demonstrate EPSE technology to a new local partner and to establish and maintain local contacts. They did not return empty-handed and during the next few months EPSE will be negotiating about cooperation and partnerships with several different parties.
Cooperation Agreement to China
At the end of 2022, EPSE signed a cooperation agreement with BEWG (Beijing Enterprises Water Group), a Chinese listed company, and as a result its environmental sector BHZQ (Bhzq Environmental Engineering Technology Co Ltd) has been searching for potential piloting sites for the EPSE™ Method in China. Since the signing of the agreement, BHZQ has acquired a number of industrial water samples for EPSE Laboratory, for which the potential of the EPSE™ Method has been investigated. With promising results, EPSE travelled to China at the end of March to demonstrate EPSE water treatment technology by using the laboratory-scale Mobile S.C.O.P.E piloting equipment.
“Special thanks for this to the representatives of the Embassy of Finland and Business Finland”
The EPSE™ Method has big market potential in China and EPSE returned from the trip with great anticipation and excitement. In addition to the demonstrations of EPSE technology, the trip was used to maintain existing partnerships and make many new contacts. “Special thanks for this to the representatives of the Embassy of Finland and Business Finland”, says CEO Jääskeläinen. According to Jääskeläinen, the cooperation and partnership negotiations that started during the trip will continue and the aim is to sign long-term partnership agreements in the coming months.
Tapio – EPSE’s specialist in China
Since 2019, EPSE’s Solution Manager Yi Fang, or Tapio in Finnish, has played a key role in EPSE’s activities and cooperation between Finland and China. Tapio has been an active liaison, handling local surveys and arrangements, and acting as an interpreter between the people in EPSE’s Ylöjärvi office and the Chinese operators.
